express bus service to campus from Park & Ride lots

Up to What would you like to see the PAT Council look into?
Since April I have been using Wildcat Transit from Dover and it has cut my own fuel consumption in half, at least. There is or will be soon a new Park & Ride lot near Exit 9 of the Spaulding Turnpike. It would be a great service for employees to be able to park there and take an express bus to campus. While we can obviously ride the Transit buses, an express bus would not make stops between the parking lot and campus, making our commuting time faster. There are other Park & Ride lots in the area; the Council should urge Transportation to start offering services from them.
Sorry to not get this approved quicker, but I hadn't noticed this comment.
Each time I've driven by the new Exit 9 Parking area I have had a similar thought. My thought was more like this is what the administration keeps talking about with remote parking. I haven't heard anything to confirm this, but I do expect that to become a Coast stop. I don't know about an express shuttle. I'll try to check into this and post an answer.

I asked about this in the summer and was first told that there WOULD be an express bus from the lot. When I asked again when the lot opened in August, I was told that there was no money to start another route this year, but that it is still on the table for next year. I live near this lot and I would ride the bus two or three times a week if it was available.
Re: express bus service to campus from Park & Ride lots
I did ask about this information at a Council meeting and not much more was known about it by those present. It was suggested that we get an update from our representative on the Transportation committee. I'm not quite sure of the status of that request, at this time, I believe we are attempting to schedule Rick for an update on what is going on with all of the transportation issues, including the big one of price increases.
I believe that one of our upcoming meetings notes should have more information on this issue. I'll try to remember to do a summary here too.
