CORNUCOPIA FOOD BASKET PROJECT for Spring 2009

by Stormy Gleason last modified Mar 16, 2009 12:48 PM

This spring, we are looking at the challenging prospect of having to purchase and distribute over 150 baskets. This is all possible through the generosity of faculty, staff, and students in the UNH and Durham community, countless volunteers, and the support from local community members, the United Campus Ministry to the University of New Hampshire, the UNH Department of Housing, and the Community Church of Durham. Please help us if you can. We are committed to providing food baskets to all those who need and request them, and we need your help to do that. We are including a form to donate a basket, and as well as a list of suggested food items for you to use and include when you donate a basket. You can also visit the website at www.cornucopia.unh.edu <http://www.cornucopia.unh.edu> for more information.

CORNUCOPIA FOOD BASKET PROJECT for Spring 2009

Dear Friends in the UNH/Durham Community,

We hope you all are doing well and staying warm and hopeful during this winter season.

As you may know, we are partnering with the Cornucopia Food Pantry to provide food baskets during the spring season.  The food pantry serves the UNH community, students, staff, faculty, and their families.   Food baskets are distributed three times each year at Thanksgiving, winter break, and in the spring around Earth Day.  The Cornucopia Food Pantry is located at the Waysmeet Center at 15 Mill Road in downtown Durham, and is open weekly during the academic year, and during the summer.  Donations and volunteers are welcome throughout the year.

If you can help, we will accept food or monetary donations on Wednesday, April 15th.   Checks can be made payable to the Cornucopia Food Pantry, and are tax deductible.

Thank you for all of your help, now and in the past.  Peace and happy thoughts to you.

Sincerely,

Lisa
